"'Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious'. Stephen Hawking"
There are always interesting things to see in the night sky and we can arrange for an astronomer and telescope to be in camp during your stay, either plan your trip to coincide with a specific planet or constellation or enjoy a happy lottery and see what is visible during your visit.
There are a few general trends. From April onwards we begin to get the big planets Jupiter (and its moons) and Saturn (and its rings) visible in the evening sky, and these are the two best planets to see in the telescope. June to October is a great time to see the bright central region of our Milky Way galaxy, perfect to see from Lentorre as there is practically zero light pollution to spoil the view.
